Sunday night was absolutely beautiful here. The temperature was in the upper 70s so we went and grabbed coffee (and gelato), watched the sunset and strolled around Las Catalinas. Las Catalinas has amazing trails to hike, run and bike! Can't wait to check those out!
We are still trying to figure out the local bank, post office and phone 'stuff', but we need to meet with the attorney before doing so (and possibly set up a corporation for each). Mama need some colones, a place to receive goodies and a phone!
On Friday we went to check out a spot that (we were told) is a great way to meet other families from our school, the CR Sailing Center! They are super sweet and our school actually has a lunch + swim there after orientation on September 1st.
Speaking of school... we are super excited about starting! The best part is that Will literally made a calendar and is counting down the days. They have about 330 kids total ages 2-19. Some of their objectives are: communicate well; listen to all perspectives; share love and compassion; develop self into a lifelong learner; improve physical and mental well being; educate the whole self by using the outdoors, arts and physical activity; learn by experience and discovery; empower each other to become a steward of your community; and the list goes on and on. It is the happiest handbook I've ever read!
We also checked out a housing development (long term rentals and homes for sale) that we were introduced through our school. Apparently many of Will and Marynn's classmates live there. It's gated, has amazing views and lots of trails (you know I love those trails).
